Voice Privacy
The selector separates local voices, which speak on your device, from other voices that may send text to your browser's speech service or voice provider.
The audio engine tracks boundary events from the browser's native synthesizer, highlighting each spoken word and scrolling down automatically as reading moves forward.
When you pause, playback freezes and an anchor badge appears on that word, allowing speech to resume from that precise position instead of restarting the paragraph.
